Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

 

Anyone who has ever taken part in a play understands they are to play their specific part. Some people have lead roles while others have minor parts. Nevertheless, the play is not complete unless every role is filled and everyone plays their part to the best of their ability.

 

And so it is with life. God is the Creator, Director, and Producer of His Universe. Unlike man-made productions, He does not audition people for a certain part; He CREATES them for that part.  Oftentimes we will hear someone say, “She was made for that role.” or “He is perfect for that part.” or “He sure looks the part.”

 

Please understand today that you are perfect for your part in God’s Universe because He created you for it and He did it all before the foundation of the earth. (Ephesians 3:20) Sadly, most people in this world never understand this. They go through life trying to figure out what they are supposed to be doing instead of seeking God in the Name of Jesus, for His Plan for them each day.

 

We don’t have to “take on a character” to do what God has planned for us.  It's not necessary to try to be like someone else, look like a certain character, or learn to talk differently. God created us EXACTLY the way He wants us to be. We look the part and are perfect for the part because we were created for that part.

 

No matter how gifted and talented an actor is and no matter how perfect they are for the role, if they don’t show up for the performance, the director can’t use them.

 

Every day we have an opportunity to please God. We do this by seeking Him with all our heart and doing exactly what He directs us to do. Your part may seem small today, but whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

 

We do not work to please other people because we will receive no rewards from them. We were not created to please other people. Our purpose in life is to please God Almighty and we do this by believing in His Son, Jesus Christ, and His Work on the Cross of Calvary.  When we operate in this mindset, God will use us mightily while we are alive on this earth.

 

Whatever part you have been given to play, play it. If you have been given a song to sing, sing it. If the Holy Spirit says, “Preach,” preach. If you know you have been gifted to teach, teach. Great or small, it doesn't matter.  Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 

 

The goal is to see people come to the saving knowledge and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the Great Commission Jesus gave to us. When we each understand what we were created to do and do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, one day we will hear the Lord say, Well done, good and faithful servant. Hallelujah!

 

Today is the day to commit yourself to your Creator who is the Director and Producer of your life. He loves you so much, He sent His Son to die on the Cross for your sins and set you free from all of the schemes of the enemy who wants to distract and destroy you. God has a very important part for you to play at this particular time in history. The question is: Will you accept the part and do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,?

 

Accepting His Part for you will………turn the tide .……….in your life.
