James 3:16 For where envy and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

 

Yesterday, we initiated a discussion based on the Prophecy of Ezekiel about jealousy. God showed Ezekiel the image of jealousy, which was blocking the gate to the Altar in the Temple.

 

As we read on, we find, Furthermore He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary? Now turn again, you will see greater abominations.” (Ezekiel 8:6)

 

Six hundred years later, James wrote, For where envy and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

 

Jealousy opens the door to every form of evil, and it will cause God to not enter in, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary

 

God said, You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.  (Exodus 20:17)

 

Jesus said, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:39) You cannot love your neighbor and be jealous of him at the same time.

 

Any form of envy will totally destroy the Temple of God, and the Presence of the Holy Spirit will not be found there. This is what the Word of God says. Let us heed God's Word and let it be the Standard by which we live our lives.

 

Obedience to His Word will.........turn the tide ...........in our lives.
