Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
One does not have to be educated or trained to take a bold stand for Christ. In fact, Peter and John were neither trained or educated but were very bold in their witness. This boldness came from having been with Jesus.
Anyone who has had a personal experience with Christ will be bold in their faith and witness of Him. The Apostle Paul is one of the greatest examples of this fact. Although Paul was trained and educated. He was said to be the most educated man on earth at that time, but when he came face to face with Jesus, everything about him changed. He realized that he had been duped by the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Everything they had taught him was a lie. He had lived this lie for years, and had he not met Jesus on the Road to Damascus, he would have died spiritually lost and spent eternity in Hell.
But Jesus did meet Paul on the road, and immediately Paul knew the Truth of who Jesus was! Every truly born again believer has had such an experience with the Lord Jesus Christ, and they are changed from the person they once were.
The result of such an encounter is Boldness. It can be nothing else. It is impossible to have an encounter with the Lord and not tell people about it. God wants us all to be a bold witness for Him EVERYWHERE we go. This boldness for Him is part of God’s Plan and Purpose for our lives.
Many people find it difficult to witness to people about Jesus. If you are in this category, go to the Lord in prayer and ask for boldness. He will grant it to you. Jesus said, Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
Boldness for Christ will……..turn the tide
