He Is Strong

1 Corinthians 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

We are each created by God to bring glory to Him. In and of ourselves, we are nothing. Everything we are and possess is a gift from God. Without Him we would be nothing. Without Him we wouldn’t be at all!

The goal in the life of every believer should be to bring glory to God in everything we say and do. NOTHING is to be used to bring glory or credit to ourselves. This is the definition of true humility, which is a powerful Benefit in our Believer’s Benefit Package.

Only in a state of humility can the Lord be made strong and be glorified. We are not partners with God and “together” we get things done. NO!  We are not able to do anything. God will use us to accomplish His Will in the lives of others, but all the glory belongs to Him. We are deserving of nothing.

When we understand that it is only by the Grace of God that we are even alive, we will begin to see just how small we really are.  But this is where our true strength and power comes from! This may sound like a contradiction to some, but it is not.

God can only be strong in us when we set aside everything of ourselves and allow Him to totally use us however He chooses. The Apostle Paul said,  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the Mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and Perfect Will of God.  (Romans 12:1-2)

This is the Perfect Will of God for every person on earth. The ONLY way to accomplish this is to stop trying to do everything ourselves because when we say, “Look what I have done,” we are not bringing glory to God.  On the contrary, we are accepting the credit for doing something we could have never done if it hadn't been for the Mercy of God.

Humility is one of our strongest weapons against the enemy. We cannot defeat any demon of Hell under our own power and strength. Only by becoming weak and humble in our own right will we be able to take on the Power and Might of the Holy Spirit, and then, we will see the enemy defeated in our lives. And then, we WILL give God all the glory because He alone is worthy of it!

At that point we will be singing a new song: Look what the LORD has done!

Humility will…...turn the tide ……..in your life!

I am weak, but He is strong!       Doreen
