Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created by Him and for Him.
The Foundational Truth that God created all things is repeated over and over again in the Word of God. Until a person understands and believes this, they are unable to move forward in faith.
I know people who profess to be Christians but do not believe that God created everything that was created. One such person told me that she believes God created some things but other things "evolved." I'm sorry, friends, but you cannot have it both ways. You either believe God created ALL THINGS or you don't. If you don't, then you don't believe the Word of God to be true; therefore, you cannot believe in Jesus Christ because He IS the Word of God.
The Bible does not say “some things” were created by Him. Nor does it say “most things” or “certain things” or any other category of things were created by Him. The Word of God clearly states that ALL THINGS were created by God. This is why Darwinism and the Theory of Evolution are so destructive to Christianity and the Kingdom of God.
In John 1:3 we read, All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. Every single thing on earth and in Heaven was created one by one, by God…..period. Everything that exists was made by Him. As we read and study the Word of God, this becomes clearly evident.
In regard to the stars and planets, we read in Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, And behold Who has created these things, Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, By the greatness of His Might And the strength of His Power; Not one is missing.
Well over fifty years ago, the greatest astronomers alive at that time determined that there were OVER 40 sextillion stars in the Universe. There are probably more than that, but that’s the number they came up with. How many is 40 sextillion? Written numerically, it would be 40,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Not only did God create all of them one by one, but the Bible says God calls them all by name and not one is missing. These facts are beyond our comprehension. We are not asked to understand it; we are only asked to believe it, and when we do, we will begin to have a tiny bit of understanding of just how magnificent God really is!
This reminds me of a song originally written as a poem in 1885 by Carl Boberg in Sweeden. It was put to music by Stuart Hine in 1899 and is said to be one of the greatest hymns ever written. I would agree.
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all Thy Worlds, Thy Hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy Power throughout the Universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee. How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
This revelation will……….turn the tide ..............in the whole world!
I stand in awe of Him, Doreen
