Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

 

For the past few days we have been discussing the destruction caused by the demonic spirit of jealousy.

 

In the 8th Chapter of Ezekiel we read where God showed Ezekiel in a vision that the image of jealousy would block the Gate to the Brazen Altar. This would keep the people from Redemption and cause God to go far away from the Temple. It would also lead to many great abominations inside the Temple.

 

Moving forward into the New Testament, we read the Words of James, which are in total agreement. For where envy and strife exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. (James 3:16)

 

Bringing this forward to the Body of Christ today, unfortunately, we find the spirit of jealousy extremely prevalent in both individuals and churches.

 

In a nutshell, there is no place for jealousy of any kind in any Christian. It could very well be the most destructive spirit to the entire Body of Christ as it leads to more and more evil and greater abomination.

 

If we expect God to work in a mighty way in our personal lives and in our churches, we cannot allow jealousy to block the Gate to the Cross of Christ. The Holy Spirit of God will not knock down the image of jealousy to get inside. He just won’t do it. In fact, the Word tells us He will go far away. That I should go far away from My Sanctuary. (Ezekiel 8:6)

 

There is plenty of God to go around. The Holy Spirit can (and wants to) be present in the heart and life of every single believer and every Christian church in the world today. He is without limits.

 

Don’t concern yourself with what your neighbor has or is doing. Don’t worry that the church down the street is packed full and yours has only a few people. On the other hand, consider what the Lord has given you! Be grateful that He loves you, gave His Life for you, and has set you free from the bondage of sin. Give Him praise for who He is and what He has done in your life and the lives of your congregation.

 

Seek the real ministry of the Holy Spirit in yourself and in your church. Jesus set the Pattern in place for us: Teaching, Preaching, Healing, and Deliverance.  God is still doing all this in the lives of those who will believe and knock down the image of jealousy from the gate.

 

Let us repent of this sin and rebuke the spirit of jealousy from our midst. When we cast a spirit out, we must fill that space with a righteous spirit, or it will come back seven times worse. So today, let us rebuke and cast out jealousy and be ZEALOUS for Jesus and the Work of the Holy Spirit. 

 

Trading jealous for ZEALOUS will……..turn the tide .……...in your life.
