Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

 

The Apostle Paul wrote a considerable amount on the subject of spiritual warfare. Every born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ must understand this if they expect to be victorious over the enemy.

 

While the war we fight appears to be a natural one, it is not. All battles are spiritual and can only be won with spiritual armor and weapons.

 

In Verse 35,  Paul lists some obstacles in the life of the believer. Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  This list pretty much covers it all, but nothing can separate us from the Love of Christ if we don’t let it. We are called to be overcomers.  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the Victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:4-5)

 

The only way to be victorious over the enemy is to maintain our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God who went to the Cross for our sins. He won the Victory over the enemy that day, and our faith in Him and what He accomplished on the Cross allows us to share in that Victory.

 

There is no other way to the Heavenly Father or to Victory over the enemy in this life. Jesus made that clear when He said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)

 

No one receives any blessings from God except through faith in Jesus and His Work on the Cross.  All Blessings and Benefits of God come ONLY by way of our faith in the Cross of Christ.

 

People try to separate Jesus from the Cross, but you cannot do that. Jesus was born to go to the Cross. That’s why God sent Him to live on earth as a human being.  Yes, He was the only person to ever be born of a virgin, but faith in His Virgin Birth did not save anyone. He lived a perfect and holy life totally free from sin, but faith in His sinless life never saved anyone. He performed thousands of miracles, but faith in His miracles never saved anyone. The only thing that ever saved a single soul has been their faith in Him and His Work as the Lamb of God; the final Blood Sacrifice for the sins of all mankind. The Cross of Christ IS the Redemption Plan of God.

 

God’s Redemption Plan has ALWAYS been centered around sacrifice. From the beginning until today, Redemption has always been found only in faith in the Sacrifice. God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

 

God’s Will is for every person to be redeemed from their sin and to spend eternity in Heaven with Him. The ONLY way to achieve that is to place your faith totally in the Cross of Christ. There is no other way. You may know the correct facts, but do you have the correct faith?  This is literally the question that will determine your quality of life here on earth and your eternal destination. Forever is a long, long time.

 

Facts are fine, but faith is required!

 

Faith in Christ and the Cross will…….turn the tide .……..in your life!
