Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says.
In business, we hire people to do things because we don’t have the time or expertise to do it ourselves. After researching the applicant's qualifications, education, experience, and references, they are considered for the job. Oftentimes, we give them a test to see if they are qualified. If they pass the test, the interview process will begin. After talking with them and we believe they are qualified and able to do the job well, we hire them. We believe in them and can trust them to do the job right and be efficient in their work. There is not a doubt in our mind they can do it and do it well.
With that in mind, consider this: Sin and burdens in life can be very heavy. Situations can cause us to lose sleep and make us physically sick. These things can become like huge mountains that we are unable to climb by ourselves. Most people seek the help of professional people like doctors, lawyers, psychologists, therapists, etc. Unfortunately, these people cannot move mountains. We may place our faith in them and believe they can help, but they are not qualified to do so.
The only One qualified to do this for us is God, and the only way to God is through the Cross of Christ. God sent Jesus to be our Way to Him. Jesus said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6)
If you have read the Bible, you SHOULD know that God is able to move mountains. The question is, do you BELIEVE He is able to move YOUR mountain. If you do believe God is able to move the mountain in your life, then give it over to Him to do so. He is waiting for you to stop trying to do it yourself and allow Him to bless you by taking care of that situation.
For the past few days we have been comparing our life to a scales of justice. We've talked about the weights on the dish on our side and willingly passing those heavy weights through the Cross of Christ in the middle, and putting them on God's dish.
Some weights are small and not too hard to carry. Others are HUGE and like mountains. These are the ones that REALLY drag us down and cause distress and physical illness in our lives. God wants to carry them ALL! Jesus said, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says.
God wants us to totally trust Him to move the mountain. He doesn’t need our help or the help of any professional person. He is able, but we must have no doubt about His Ability. Jesus gave us the key to removing weights (great or small) from our dish and giving them to God. That whosoever …….. shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says.
God is not like an employee who turns out to be not qualified for the job we hired him to do. God does not fail or change. His Resume is impeccable. He has millions of References. His Word consists of thousands of documented Testimonies of His Ability to perform Miracles in the lives of people. What more do you need to know? Hasn’t He done enough in your life already for you to have no doubts about His Ability?
It’s time to not just talk the talk, but walk the walk and give Him those weights off your dish; all of them! He wants them, and He can handle them. Jesus died on the Cross so you can pass every weight from your dish to God’s dish. What are you waiting for? Let today be the day you REALLY trust God in your life.
Fully trusting God will…...…turn the tide ..…….in your life.
