Matthew 17:20 So Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
This was Jesus’ response to the Disciples when they asked Him why they were unable to cast a demon out of a person.
In short, they didn’t have enough faith in Him. By His death on the Cross and His Resurrection from the dead, Jesus proved that He is, in fact, the Way, the Truth and the Life. Due to His Sacrifice, He fulfilled God’s Redemption Plan for everyone who will believe.
It is God’s Will that every person on earth know His Son, believe in Him and trust Him as their personal Lord and Savior. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth. (1 Timothy 2:3)
Jesus totally defeated Satan on the Cross that day. The problem is, Satan doesn’t believe the war is over, but he soon will! Until then, we must live our lives every day in faith in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross. When we fully understand what that means, we can release all sin, suffering, pain, sorrow, and hurt on Him. He wants us to! God does not want us to live in pain and suffering. That’s WHY He gave up His Only Son, Jesus.
The Cross of Christ is central to our Freedom from anything and everything Satan throws our way. It doesn’t matter what it is; Jesus conquered it on the Cross, and we can have Victory over it.
The Apostle Paul was a horrible sinner prior to his conversion. He was a hate-filled murderer who killed Christians! He despised Jesus and everything about Him. But one day, he met the Lord face to face, and he was never the same again! Hallelujah! God set him free from all his horrible past and used him unlike any other. The Holy Spirit of God used Paul to write over 2/3 of the entire New Testament.
That’s what God can do through a person who has enough faith in Christ and the Cross. Paul wrote the following in a letter to young Timothy. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a Preacher and an Apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a Teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. (1 Timothy 2:4-7)
Paul understood the only way to God is through belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. He understood that Jesus is God’s Redemption Plan for mankind. He was then, and He still is today. Do you understand that today? If you do, lay hold of the Victory and Freedom He gave His Life for you to have. What a Benefit!
Faith the size of a mustard seed will…….turn the tide.…...in your life.
