Ephesians 4:11 And He gave some to be, Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some, Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers;

 

The ministry of Jesus consisted of Teaching, Preaching, Healing and Deliverance. Jesus possessed all the Spiritual Gifts and Callings and was therefore able to minister in every way to all people. Jesus was an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. He needed no help from anyone to Teach, Preach, Heal and Deliver. He was given Power when the Holy Spirit came upon Him, and His Ministry on Earth began.

 

After His Crucifixion and Resurrection, Jesus ascended to Heaven to sit at the Right Hand of the Father in Heaven. At that time, God sent the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter, Teacher, Counselor and Helper.  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:26)

 

God’s Plan for His Ministry is for people to continue the earthly Ministry of Jesus. The only way we can do this is with the Help of the Holy Spirit. On our own, we are nothing. We can’t do anything for the Kingdom of God without the Holy Spirit to Call us, Gift us, Teach us, and Guide us.

 

With the Help of the Holy Spirit, the Body of Christ continues the Ministry of Jesus and the building of the Kingdom of God. The Ministry of the Church should be, Teaching, Preaching, Healing, and Deliverance.

 

To that statement, some of you may be wondering, “Where does Salvation come into the picture?” Salvation is the ultimate Miracle of Deliverance in a person’s life. When saved, they are instantaneously Delivered from the bondage of sin and set free! They are Delivered from darkness into Light! They are Delivered from spending eternity in Hell to Everlasting Life in Heaven with their Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujah! 

 

The Holy Spirit moves in the hearts of people all the time. The Presence of the Holy Spirit is a place where we would love to continually reside. He can be anywhere at any time. His Presence can fill your car and be so powerful you have to pull off the road and stop. He will meet you literally anywhere, and when He does, you are never the same and never want to leave His Presence.

 

While God does not NEED people to build His Kingdom, He wants to use us. If He didn’t, He wouldn’t have called some to be Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. Nor would He have given us certain Spiritual Gifts. All Calling and Gifting of God is to bring Glory to the Father and build and strengthen the Kingdom of God. 

 

We do this by being willing to be used by God to continue the Ministry of Jesus: Teaching, Preaching, Healing and Deliverance. We must surrender to the Call of God on our lives and live solely in submission to His Plan and Purpose for us individually. Nothing else really matters.

 

Total surrender will………turn the tide .……….in your life.
