Ezekiel 8:6 Furthermore He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, to make Me go far away from My sanctuary?

 

Have you ever been in a church that is spiritually dead? The people come in, sit down in the same place week after week, sing a few songs, put a little money in the offering plate, listen to someone read a written speech, sing one more song, and leave. There is no moving of the Holy Spirit whatsoever. Nothing spiritual happens there at all.

 

I'm sorry to say, but this is the description of most churches today. Why? How can this be when the building has a church name on its sign, and they are associated with a prominent Christian denomination?

 

The answer is that the Holy Spirit is not present. He is the Power source of God. But you will receive Power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, (Acts 1:8). Nothing of God happens without the Presence of the Holy Spirit.

 

The people may say the Holy Spirit is welcome. The Pastor might mention His Name. They may even sing a song or two about Him but He never shows up. Why?

 

The Prophecy of Ezekiel speaks to this question, and it's very clear. You don't have to read between the lines to understand. The answer is that there are all sorts of evil things going on behind the closed doors of the church, and it starts with the image of jealousy that blocks the Gate to the Altar, which is the Cross of Christ, and causes the Holy Spirit to never enter in. In fact, the Bible says He will go far away. to make Me go far away from My sanctuary

 

If we are REALLY seeking a move of God, then we must REALLY invite the Holy Spirit to be present, and we MUST do our spiritual housekeeping. All jealousy MUST GO! All competition MUST GO! Repentance is mandatory.

 

The Body of Christ is ONE Body. All bodies have parts, and they are each one important, but one is not more important than another. They have differences, but they all serve the same head, and they all have the same goal: to keep the body alive and well as it brings glory to God Almighty. 

 

I pray for the Body of Christ to be united as one. I pray it will come together and work together to serve one Master and build the Kingdom of God. This has been my prayer for many years.  

 

Jesus prayed, I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. (John 17:20-21)

 

I pray the Holy Spirit brings conviction to the hearts of the leaders of churches of all denominations about this, and they will know they are a part of ONE BODY; the Body of Christ.

 

Unification of the Body of Christ will............turn the tide
