Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 

Every person is created in God’s Image. God created Adam to be perfect and without sin. He also created for Adam a perfect place to live; the Garden of Eden. That place provided everything Adam needed to exist and be at Peace with God. God saw that Adam needed a helpmate so He made Eve. God created them to live forever.

 

Everything was perfect until one day when Satan sent the serpent to deceive Eve. She believed the lies of the enemy and she fell into sin. Adam did as well. At that point in time everything changed for the human race. Sin had entered the world and it separated them from God and because of their sin, they would die and spend eternity in Hell. Generation after generation, sin in the world got worse.

 

In the heart of every human being is the knowledge that God exists and they want to please Him. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) The problem is sin. God has always made a way for people to be Redeemed and it has always been through blood sacrifice. In Old Testament times this was done through the Sacrificial System. Animals were brought to the Temple every day to be sacrificed for the sins of the people. This went on for generations until God sent His Son to be the Final Sacrifice for all sin.

 

Jesus has always been. He and the Holy Spirit were with God the Father in the beginning when They Created the Heavens and the earth. At that time, Jesus was the Word and He spoke everything into existence.

 

When God deemed the time to be right, the Word became flesh and blood (John 1:14) and Jesus was born. He was perfect in every way. He never sinned because He did not have a sin nature like all other people. Although He was born as a baby and grew up as other children do, He was actually sent to this earth by the Father to be the Sacrificial Lamb God required so people could be Saved and set free from the bondage of sin in their lives. He was the Gift of God for every human being. It has always been the Will of God that every person be Redeemed of their sin that’s why He sent His Son to be the Blood Sacrifice for us all.

 

Jesus was sent to Earth to die on the Cross. That was His Purpose in living. All the Miracles, Signs, and Wonders He performed proved that He was the Son of God. He was the fulfillment of all the Prophecies of the coming Messiah. He was also the fulfillment of the Law. The Old Covenant between God and man ended when Jesus said It is finished. (John 19:30) and died.

 

At that moment in time, everything changed for all people. The Final Sacrifice for all the sins in the world had been made! Jesus had paid the price for everyone! Crucifixion Day was the final Day of Atonement for everyone who would choose to believe in Him and His Finished Work on the Cross.

 

The sentence for sin is still death and eternity in Hell for those who do not believe. (Romans 6:23)However, for those who do believe in Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross, their future is bright! When their life on this earth is over Heaven will be their Eternal Home! Jesus said Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s House are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. (John 14:1-3)

 

There is a place prepared for you in Heaven. Will you spend eternity there? Place your faith in Christ Crucified and you will.
