Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
The Antichrist will be in power over the world during the Great Tribulation. He will enter into covenants with Israel and other countries proclaiming peace for the entire world. However, he is a deceiver and controlled by Satan. Every word he speaks is a lie and he will have the people of the world convinced that he is God because he can bring peace on earth.
At the midpoint in the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist will show his real colors. He will break his covenant with Israel. At this point, many Jews will turn to the Lord and realize that Jesus really is their Messiah.
Tremendous persecution of all believers will break out all around the world at this time. Most believers will be martyred for their faith in Christ. Jesus spoke about this horrible time. Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the Prophet, standing in the Holy Place (whoever reads, let him understand) then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:15-22)
The abomination of desolation will be the most horrible time in all of history. Jesus warned us about this. But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:34-36)
Place your full faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died on the Cross of Calvary so you can live an Abundant Life here on earth and not have to suffer the effects of the Tribulation and spend eternity in Hell. God loves you. He made a way for you to escape all this. It is His Free Gift of Salvation. It is for you.
