Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that Grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
People who are truly Saved through their faith in Jesus and Him Crucified, hate sin. They hate the sin in their life and they want to live their life pleasing to God. Those who say they love Jesus and declare Him to be their Savior and Lord but live in perpetual sin are liars. They do not love Jesus. They love their sin.
I know this is a harsh word but Jesus said If you love me you will keep my Commandments. (John 14:15) Unfortunately, the Church is full of people in this condition today. Many are standing behind pulpits preaching falsehoods. God does not condone sin. He never has and He never will. He does not change. For I am the Lord, I do not change; (Malachi 3:6)
God’s Will for our lives is that we come to the knowledge of the Truth of the Gospel of Christ and accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. When we do this we will hate our sin and want to be delivered from it. This takes repentance on our part. We must admit that we are sinners and repent. This means to turn away from our sinful acts and turn to God.
There is a marching command in the military called “About Face.” It means to turn completely around and march in the opposite direction. This is the true meaning of Repentance. If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
I’m sorry my friends, but we cannot love our wicked ways and be Saved at the same time. You either love sin or you hate sin. God hates sin. If you love God, you too hate sin. Any preacher who is telling you that God will condone your sinful lifestyle is a liar and a false prophet.
Paul asked the Romans What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that Grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? (Romans 6:1-2) The Grace of God does not condone sin. It delivers us out of sin. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. Hell is a real place and forever is a very long time.
Repentance will……….turn the tide……..in your life!
Hallelujah! Doreen
