Romans 2:10 But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

Before Christ, there was no freedom for anyone. In those days there were two types of people: Jews and Gentiles. Both groups were captives. There was no true freedom for anyone.

The Jews were God’s people but they were captives of sin and the Law. Sin has always held people captive and still does today. That’s what sin does; it keeps us in bondage. The wealthiest, most powerful, and most prestigious people of all time have always been slaves to sin. Sin is bondage.

Jews were also held captive by the Law. They were bound by the Sacrificial Law of Redemption and lived their lives making the required daily sacrifices. In regard to the Law of Moses, no one has ever been able to keep the Law, so to try is to be held captive to it.

Gentiles were slaves and outcasts and there is certainly no freedom there. In addition, they too were held captive by sin making life for these people void of any amount of freedom at all.

This brings us back to our first statement: Before Christ, there was no freedom for anyone. The Crucifixion of Christ brought the hope of Freedom to every person in the entire world. To the Jew first, and also to the Gentile.

Jesus came to fulfill the Law which brought FREEDOM from the Law. As the Ultimate and Final Sacrifice for all the sin of the world, finally, once and for all, Freedom was available to all who choose to believe. Jesus died for the entire world and His Death and Resurrection guarantees Freedom from Sin and the Law.

In 1611, King James of England had the Bible translated into English and the people began to read it. When they came to the understanding of Freedom in Christ, they realized they were still being held captive by the government of England. At this point, they made the decision to set out to find a place where they could indeed live in the Freedom Christ died for them to have. With that, they set out to find a new homeland where the people could live in total freedom and they were bound and determined to do it!

Liberty was theirs through Christ and no man would ever again deny them of their God-given, unalienable rights. These are the rights we read of in our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights.

The more we study our TRUE American Heritage and History, the more we understand that our Heritage and Christianity cannot be separated. The Word of God is written throughout our Founding Documents. It is the Freedom found in belief in Christ and Him Crucified that our Nation was founded on. They CANNOT be separated; it’s impossible!

To know what it means to be an American is very important but unfortunately, our Heritage has not been passed down through the generations as it should have been. We must take it upon ourselves to bring our Christian Heritage back to life in America!

Public schools in America today are NOT teaching true American History. Churches in America are not preaching it. Parents and grandparents are not sharing it. Why? Because most do not know it themselves. I implore you to start learning the truth and share it with your family and friends. When you do you will come to the realization that America is UNDENIABLY a Christian Nation.

A true understanding of our Freedom through Christ and how intertwined it is with our American Heritage will change the face of America. This is our responsibility as Americans! It’s time for each of us to do our part to preserve Freedom through faith in Christ in America.

Freedom through the Blood of Christ will……….turn the tide
