Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

 

For the past several days we have been discussing the roles and operations of the Holy Spirit who is sent to us as our Helper. The Holy Spirit helps us live our lives pleasing to God. When we place our faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, the Holy Spirit will go to work on our behalf.

 

While God is always there and has helped us prior to our Salvation, He becomes many, many more times active in our lives when we trust Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. When we place Jesus as the Lord of our lives, the Holy Spirit will roll up His sleeves and really go to work inside us.

 

We are all born with the sin nature. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Therefore, we all need a Savior. Someone to save us from eternal death and destruction. Someone to save us from the enemy in this life. That Someone is Jesus Christ.

 

God, the Father, sent Jesus to Earth for this express reason. He was born and lived a sin-free life only to be beaten and die a cruel death on the Cross of Calvary. He did this for you and me. He did this for every person on earth!

 

The fact is, because of Jesus’ Sacrifice on the Cross, we don’t have to live in sin. We don’t have to let the enemy torment us. Jesus died so that we may have Victory over the Devil. The Work has already been done. The Victory has been won. We are the Victors! Jesus won this war for us.

 

Today is our day to claim our Victory over the Devil. He has no hold on us. Jesus gave us the authority to crush him under our feet! The enemy will always be there and he will attack us, but when we recognize him and understand the authority we have over him, he does not stand a chance!

 

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19) Walk in the authority Jesus died for you to have! Hallelujah!

 

 

The Blood of Jesus will……….turn the tide……….in your life.
