Matthew 6:9-13 Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory forever. Amen.
This Passage of Scripture is what is known as the Lord’s Prayer. Jesus told the Disciples to pray in this manner. This is the prayer which was prayed every morning in classrooms of schools across America for decades along with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of our great nation.
In the mid 1960’s this practice ceased and our nation has gone downhill ever since. At that time America turned her back on God which was the biggest mistake we had made to that point.
Prior to teaching the Words of this prayer, Jesus said, And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

America has lost at least two generations of citizens to sin. All sin is the absence of God and His Righteousness. We cannot expect children to grow up to be righteous adults if they are not taught Righteousness when they are young. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
America is in desperate need of deliverance from evil. Anyone who watches the news at all is well aware of this. lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. All deliverance is the fruit of repentance. Without repentance, God will not grant deliverance.
The door is open for another Great Awakening in America. The Bible will once again be in the classrooms of every school in some states. President Trump is publicly proclaiming his faith in God. Let us pray for the spirit of repentance to break out across our land and let Americans turn back to God and His Righteousness. Without Him, there is nothing.
Repentance will……….turn the tide
