Romans 8:2 For the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus, has made me free from the Law of sin and death.
The Apostle Paul understood what it meant to live for Christ. He was totally surrendered to Jesus and the Ministry God had Called him to. After his conversion on the Road to Damascus, Paul was a completely changed individual. He is probably our best example of what it means to be born again.
Paul’s Letter to the Romans is one of the most beneficial Books in the Bible. In this Letter, Paul explains Christianity and how to live the Christian lifestyle, that is, living a life that is pleasing to God. The fact is, without faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, no one can do this.
Everyone is born with a sin nature and sin leads to death. For the wages of sin is death, (Romans 6:23) Therefore, everyone is born headed for eternity in Hell and will live a miserable, sinful life here on earth until they die. Satan wants everyone to live sinful lives and go to Hell when they die. He works very hard to accomplish this. Jesus said, The thief comes but to kill, steal, and destroy. (John 10:10)
None of us have a choice about this and no one is capable of overcoming Satan on their own. It is not possible. As strong as some people may be, they do not have the ability or willpower to stop the sin nature in themselves.
However, God made a way for all people to be free from the grip, influence, and destruction of Satan, who is our enemy. God loves everyone and He wants every single person to be saved, born again, and set free from the grip of Satan. The Lord is not slack concerning His Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
God hates sin and He cannot be around it. We are all sinners and our sin separates us from God. That’s why God sent Jesus to be the Sacrifice He required for the sins of mankind. Jesus paid the price for every sin in the whole world. He paid the ultimate price; His Life. He shed His Perfect Blood on the Cross of Calvary so you and I can be saved and born again, free from the sin nature. For sin shall not have dominion over you, (Romans 6:14)
Jesus willingly went to the Cross to save us from the penalty and power of sin in our lives. The penalty of sin is death. The power of sin is misery in this life. Jesus paid the price for BOTH. All that is required of us is to believe in Jesus and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary. It was there, 2000 years ago, that Jesus did this for us. He did it because He loves us so much He doesn’t want us to live miserable lives here on earth and then spend eternity in Hell. Jesus said Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. (John 6:47)
Believe in Jesus. He will………..turn the tide……..in your life.
I believe in Jesus! Doreen
