Believing And Expecting

Acts 4:30 by stretching out Your Hand to Heal, and that Signs and Wonders may be done through the Name of Your Holy Servant Jesus.

As a result of the Healing of the crippled man at the Temple Gate, Peter and John were arrested. When they were released they returned to where the other believers were and the Word of God tells us that this experience only emboldened them.

They were once again in one accord. They stood believing in the Word of God and all the Miracles they had seen Jesus perform. No matter how hard the government tried to stop them and shut them up, they persisted in their faith in Christ and the Great Commission He had given them.

They were acting in accordance with the Word of Jesus commissioning them to Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My Name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. (Mark 16:15-18)

They knew they had the Power of God on their side and as the Apostle Paul said, If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) They were of one mind and together, that day, they prayed a powerful prayer of faith. Lord, you are God, who made Heaven and Earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your servant David have said: “Why did the nations rage, and the people plot vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.” For truly against Your Holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together to do whatever Your Hand and Your Purpose determined before to be done. Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your Word, by stretching out Your Hand to Heal, and that Signs and Wonders may be done through the Name of Your Holy Servant Jesus. (Acts 4:24-30)

My friends, I hope you can see the parallel in which we are living today. The governments of the world are coming against the believers in Jesus Christ. Christians are under attack and if we don’t take a bold stand today, we may not have tomorrow.

The enemy is raising his ugly head in every aspect of society in America and around the world. We are suffering the persecution Jesus spoke of. We cannot cave to their threats and give up. We must stand and stand together in unity on the common ground of the Gospel of Christ. We may not agree about every detail of everything, but we must stand together as believers in the shed Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The church is weak today because it is not acting in obedience to the Great Commission. There is little to no moving of the Holy Spirit to see people Healed and Delivered from demonic spirits. We do not see Signs and Wonders in the church today because the people are too busy having committee meetings, planning the next party or social event, and arguing over what color the carpet should be. This is NOT God’s Plan and Purpose for His Church.

I challenge you, the next time you go to church, to stretch out your hand and speak the Word of God over someone BELIEVING AND EXPECTING the Holy Spirit to Heal and/or Deliver them. If you don’t believe God still Heals and Delivers people, then I suggest you go back into your prayer closet, read the Word, and seek God for the Truth about this.

The time of “playing church” is over. It’s time to be about the Father’s Business. It’s time to take up the Power Jesus gave us and see people transformed and made new. They will be the soldiers of Christ standing with us in one accord when the enemy comes.

Let us be about the Father’s Business at this crucial time in history. Let us stand and boldly speak the Name of Jesus BELIEVING AND EXPECTING God to move on our behalf. He is able if we are willing.

He is about to….…….turn the tide

I pray you are ready.         Doreen
