A huge issue in the news today is over our borders in America. Everything has borders or boundaries. As individuals, we have personal space. Our homes and cars have doors that lock. There are property lines around the land where we live and most people have fences to delineate these boundaries. Towns, cities, counties, states, and countries all have borders. This has always been BECAUSE God instituted borders.
In Old Testament times, we read that people owned their own homes and property. The cities had walls around them defining their borders. In Acts 17:26 we read, He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, God instituted boundaries and borders.
This is another issue where America has ventured outside of the Order of God set forth in His Word. Who are we to defy anything God has set in place? God created mankind and He knows what’s best for us. If God didn’t want us to have borders, He wouldn’t have established them!
America has defined borders and we must protect them. We have laws on the books and it is the foremost responsibility of our Federal Government to defend our borders. They have failed to do this and we are now reaping that harvest which is not good.
Because the Word of God has not been taught at home, in school and unfortunately, not from the pulpits of most churches, people do not know all that God has established for them. Without the Word of God, people are just living their lives from one crisis to the next. This is why we refer to people who do not know God as "lost." Without God and His Word, people just wander through life hoping for the best when God has given us His Best!
God set in place Divine Order for every aspect of our lives that we may live in peace and abundance. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
God provided the means by which all of mankind can be redeemed and live their lives on earth in peace and tranquility. It is this tranquility our Forefathers wrote of in the Preamble of our Constitution. “We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common Defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
America today is far from tranquil. We are in this condition because we have closed the Word of God which was the source used by our Forefathers to form this country. Our entire Constitution is based on Biblical Principles. The Word of God tells us how to establish Civil Government and Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common Defense, promote general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty for this generation and the generations to come.
Our Forefathers knew this. Anyone who has read the Bible knows this. Praise God that Donald Trump won the election for President. He has promised to close the borders of our nation. He did it before and I believe he will do it again. Let us agree in prayer that he does.
The Word of God will……..turn the tide
