1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

 

The Holy Spirit imparted to the Apostle Paul the Gospel of Christ and called him to take it to the Jews and the Gentiles. The Gospel of Christ is centered around the Finished Work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. We cannot separate Jesus from His Work on the Cross. This was His Purpose in coming to earth. The world was horribly sinful and stood in desperate need of a Savior so God sent His Son, Jesus.

 

The Cross is the Centerpiece of Christianity. Without the Cross we have nothing. If Jesus had not gone to the Cross there would be no Salvation for anyone. The Apostle Paul understood this and that’s why he wrote For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2) Nothing else really matters.

 

Many preachers today teach about psychology and other ways to find peace, but none of that is of God. There is but one Way to finding Peace and that is through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Peace comes with Victory over sin and the ONLY Way to have Victory over sin is to believe that Jesus defeated all sin on the Cross of Calvary.

 

Everything we have that is good comes to us because of what Jesus accomplished on the Cross. This is how we have the Abundant Life Jesus talked about in John 10:10. I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. The Cross of Christ is the source of everything we have from God.

 

This was the Message the Apostle Paul preached throughout the Roman Empire and the people believed and came to Salvation by the thousands. Hundreds of churches were planted because of his Ministry of the Message of the Cross.

 

Let us get back to basics. The basis of Christianity is Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. This is the Message of the Cross and it needs to be shared everywhere. People are lost, dying, and headed for Hell. They are suffering in bondage of sin and shame. They are hurting and in pain addicted to legal and illegal drugs and alcohol. The enemy is torturing them day and night with his tormenting spirits.

 

Jesus is the answer to it all. He suffered and died on the Cross to set the captive free from the enemy’s grasp. Place your faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross and determine to not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2) Nothing else really matters.

 

 

Jesus will……….turn the tide………..in your world.
