Matthew 10:22 And you will be hated by all for My Name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

As we study the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul, we find a tremendous example of what God can do through one person if they are truly committed to the Kingdom of God. From the moment of his conversion on the Road to Damascus, Paul was a committed believer; committed, that is, to the Kingdom of God and the Message of the Gospel of Christ.

Paul was one of the most committed Christians in the Bible. He devoted his entire life to the Ministry of the Gospel of Christ. This is what God is looking for in all of us. The First Commandment Jesus gave us was to have no other gods before Him. And you shall love the Lord your God will all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the First Commandment. (Mark 12:30)

This means that nothing; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is to be more important in our lives than God. We are not to love anything or anyone more than we love Him. We are to keep Him in the forefront of our minds and thoughts at all times. Every ounce of strength is to be spent on building the Kingdom of God as we are 100% committed to Him. Wow, do we fall short!

God gave His all (Jesus) so we can have it all but most of us respond like spoiled children and just take, take, take from God, and give very little back. We are supposed to give FIRST, then God will give back to us. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38)

God loves us all very much and He wants to Bless us but He also wants us to love Him and be as committed to Him as He is to us. When we are totally committed to God and His Kingdom, we will produce much good fruit and God will Bless us beyond our wildest imagination.

Take some time and check your commitment level. How committed are you to God and His Kingdom? How many hours out of your 24-hour day do you commit to Him? How much money out of your income do you give to the Kingdom of God? Of all the work that you do, how much of it is beneficial to building the Kingdom of God? What about the words that come out of your mouth? What percentage of them build the Kingdom?

While our salvation is not based on works (Ephesians 2:8-10), our salvation will lead us to a greater commitment day after day. We don’t work to BE saved. We work BECAUSE we are saved. This is what Paul meant when he wrote Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; (Philippians 2:12)

True Salvation will result in commitment and the more we study the Word of God the more committed we will become. Jesus explained this when He said I am the vine you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

Commit yourself wholly to Jesus and He will………..turn the tide……..in your life.
