Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
The great Apostle Paul preached the Kingdom of God everywhere he went. He was an Anointed Teacher and Preacher and his subject was Jesus and Him Crucified. Paul never wavered from this. The Kingdom of God was his number one priority and that never changed.
In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus spoke these Words: Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) This single Verse of Scripture has become my “life Verse.” While I have many other Passages of Scripture that I hold dear to my heart, this is the one that the Holy Spirit continually brings to my remembrance.
It is a clear directive and a Promise made by Jesus, Himself. He is instructing us to make His Kingdom our first priority. That means above anything and everything else, our lives as born-again Christians should be all about the Kingdom of God. Nothing else really matters. Nothing else has eternal ramifications.
Everything we say and do should affect the Kingdom of God in a positive way. Every minute of every day and every dollar we spend should be beneficial to the Kingdom of God in some way. On our own, we are unable to do this. Only through faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary and the acceptance of the Guidance and Help of the Holy Spirit can we begin to live and operate with a Kingdom mindset.
It amounts to living a totally Spirit-led life. The Holy Spirit will always lead us to the Word which will direct us to Righteousness. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:6) Please note that Solomon said In all your ways acknowledge Him,
If we want the Lord to help us we must put Him first above all else. He will not settle for second place in our lives. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. (Proverbs 16:3) God has a wonderful Plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11) The first step to seeing His Plan established is to commit yourself to Him and His Kingdom. Seek Him First. Acknowledge Him in all your ways. Commit your work to Him. When we do our part, God will do His part, every time!
Commit your life to the Kingdom of God and He will……..….turn the tide……….in your world.
Thank you Jesus! Doreen
