Colossians 1:13 Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
After witnessing the earth-shaking Miracle of God and hearing the words of Paul and Silas in the prison, the jailer asked, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? (Acts 16:30) This man saw the Power of God at work in the lives of all the other prisoners. They could have easily escaped that night, but they all chose to stay. They had been saved by the Grace of God and were changed men!
The jailer saw the change in them and he too wanted to be changed. He knew Paul and Silas were men of God and could help him be saved, which they did. And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your house. (Acts 16:31)
You see, they were all lost sinners. The prisoners were sinners who were locked up in jail and literally chained to the wall. The jailer was a lost sinner who was free by the world’s standards but bound by the chains of Satan in his heart. Nevertheless, they were all lost sinners headed for eternity in Hell and when they came to understand their spiritual condition, they all wanted to be Saved and Delivered out of their state of bondage.
Salvation is being miraculously delivered from one spiritual condition to another. The word deliver means to move something from one place to another. Spiritual Deliverance is to be moved by the Power of God from a lost state of bondage to that of total Freedom in Christ over the power of Satan.
Prior to Salvation, all people are totally lost and in the grip of Satan and his minions. They are totally captive to the demons and subject to whatever they attack them with. Lost people have no idea how lost they really are. They struggle and fight the enemy in the natural realm but they have no weapons to fight the spiritual giants they face every day and their lives spiral downhill until eventually the enemy kills them.
The Hope of the lost world is the Gospel of Christ Who gave His Life’s Blood on the Cross of Calvary so that we all may be Saved and Delivered out of the bondage and grip of Satan. When we fully understand the Price Jesus paid for our Salvation and BELIEVE in our hearts that He did this for us personally, then we will be the subject of the greatest Miracle ever! That being the Miracle of Salvation whereby we are instantly Delivered from the bondage of sin and the grip of the enemy.
In that instant, God will pick us up, turn us around, and plant our feet on the solid ground of the Lord Jesus Christ. The enemy no longer has any power over us! He can attack us all he wants but we know that Jesus totally disarmed him on the Cross of Calvary!
We no longer are spiritual citizens of Satan’s world. We are now citizens of the Kingdom of God! We have been delivered from one world to another! Hallelujah! We praise God for Jesus Christ Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
Salvation and Deliverance will…...….turn the tide……….in your world.
