Galatians 5:13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
The Ministry of the Apostle Paul took him from place to place sharing the Message of the Cross of Christ. Everywhere he went, he was persecuted for his message while at the same time, many believed and were Saved and born again. And so it is in Ministry today.
Everything that drives man to success and fame, is threatened by the Truth of the Gospel of Christ, and the world hates it. Satan is the ruler of this world. He hates God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and all followers of Christ. In short, he hates us and does everything he can to kill, steal, and destroy us. That is his mission and he is very good at it.
Like Paul and all the other Disciples of Christ, the enemy tried hard to shut them up. He is still trying to silence the Truth of the Gospel of Christ. Everywhere Paul went he preached about Jesus. This was his life’s work assigned to him by God and he did it faithfully until the end.
As we study through the Book of Acts, we find Paul traveling from city to city bringing the Saving Message of the Cross of Christ. In each place he was both received and rejected. Some people listened and believed while others totally rejected everything he said and had him beaten and imprisoned.
Most of the time, those who rejected Paul’s Message were influenced by money, position, and power. Nothing has changed to this day. Man has always sought after money, position, and power. These things are their god and they will do anything to attain them. They are never satisfied with what they have and continually seek more and more.
These people care nothing about the Kingdom of God. Their allegiance is to the world and all its evil ways. Unfortunately, the really sad report is that many of these people profess to be Christians and even ministers of the Gospel. Jesus had something to say on this subject. No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other You cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)
As true Ministers of the Gospel of Christ, our focus is to be ever on the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. (Matthew 6:33) People who use the Church as a cover for their sins will answer to God for their evil deeds. The Apostle Paul wrote about this to the Galatians. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. (Galatians 5:13)
My friends, God means what He says and He says what He means. His Word is True and every Promise will come to pass and be fulfilled. You can believe that!
God’s Word will……..….turn the tide
Thank you Lord for your Word. Doreen
