Do Your Own Job

Luke 10:23 Then He turned to His Disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see;”

Jesus is the Light in the World of darkness. As believers we carry that Light and are supposed to let His Light so shine through us that others can see it. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

It is the Will of God that all people come to Salvation. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, Who desires all men to be saved and come to the Knowledge of the Truth. (1 Timothy 2:3-4) While God desires everyone to be saved, He has created us with something called free-will. This is our right to choose.

Those who are Saved and born again have made the choice to be so. Everyone on earth must make this choice for themselves. We are to shine the Light and let others see it. The Holy Spirit of God will draw them to the Light, BUT He will not force anyone to accept the Light and walk in the Light.

As we discussed yesterday, we are those who flip the light switch in the lives of those who live in darkness. We do this by displaying the Light of Christ in our daily lives. We are not called to drag people into the Light or force them to do anything.

In the natural, even though the lights may be on in our house, we can still choose to close our eyes and remain in darkness. Unfortunately, some people do this. Although they see the Light, they refuse to walk in the Light. Why? I don’t know. We cannot force their eyes open and we are not to intimidate them into believing. Everyone must willingly come to Christ on their own. They choose to open their eyes or keep them closed. Jesus said, Blessed are the eyes which see the things you see; (Luke 10:23)

Review: Our job is to flip the switch and shine the light. The Holy Spirit of God will draw them. It’s their choice what happens from that point. Some respond and are Saved. Some don’t. We must learn to just do our job and trust God to do His. When we overstep our bounds, we hinder the Holy Spirit.

Shine the Light. God will…...….turn the tide
