Don't Grow Weary

Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

In the 5th Chapter of the Book of Acts, we read that the Sadducees imprisoned the Apostles for teaching and ministering Healing and Deliverance to the people on the Temple grounds. This was their domain and no way were they about to allow these Jesus followers to infringe on their territory. They were not only the head of the Synagogue, they were also the keepers of the Law of the land.

However, as we stated here yesterday, just as the grave could not hold Jesus, prison doors could not hold the Apostles! But at night an Angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go, stand in the Temple and speak to the people all the Words of this life.” (Acts 5:19-20)

The very next morning at daybreak, the Apostles were right back at the Temple preaching and teaching the Words of the Gospel of Christ! They were free and they could have gathered up all the followers and left town but they didn’t. They didn’t quit and they were not afraid because they knew God was with them. They stayed right where they were and did exactly what the Angel of the Lord told them to do. “Go, stand in the Temple and speak to the people all the Words of this life.”

When the authorities saw this, they sent the guards to check the prison and report back to them. But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison, they returned and reported saying, “Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!” Now when the high priest, the captain of the Temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be. So one came and told them, saying, “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the Temple and teaching the people!” (Acts 5:22-25)

My friends, this is a lesson for the Church today. The enemy is trying to shut us up. They are attempting to make laws to destroy the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and quiet the Word of God. The question before us is this: Are we going to fold our tent and run or are we going to stand our ground and keep doing what the Lord has called us to do?

As the Apostle Paul said, And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6:9)

Do not grow weary. God is about to……….turn the tide
