Dwell On Jesus

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

We have the ability to choose what we think about. If we choose to dwell on the negative, gloomy aspects of life, the enemy will jump in and attack us with dark spirits including grief and depression which ultimately can lead to suicide.

We also have the ability to choose to think positive thoughts. We can be upbeat, happy, and positive even in the worst of times. There is always something to be grateful for. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Many people don’t believe they are able to change, but they are! They can’t make the changes but the Holy Spirit of God can. This is what He does! Jesus went to the Cross to defeat the power of the enemy in our lives. Our faith in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross releases the Holy Spirit to go to work to transform us into the person God created us to be.

In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he wrote put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true Righteousness and Holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24)

The enemy can plant thoughts in our minds that cause us harm. He will never stop doing this, but that does not mean we have to allow those thoughts to remain. We are in control of what we think about. We have the ability to cast out evil, and negative thoughts and replace them with good, pure, Righteous thoughts. God gave us this ability.

The bottom line is that we are what we think and we think what we believe. Do you believe in what Jesus accomplished on the Cross of Calvary? Do you believe He defeated and disarmed Satan? If you do, then dwell on that fact. Every negative, impure thought is sin and Jesus defeated it on the Cross! So, live in that faith! Walk in that faith! Dwell on that faith!

Keep the Finished Work of Christ in the forefront of your mind at all times. Don’t let Satan have any of your mind space. This is how we have Victory over the enemy in this life. Jesus died to make this possible. This is the Abundant Life He talked about in John 10:10.

God wants to………..turn the tide ……….in your life today!
