Expose False Teaching
June 23, 2023, 3:00 AM

Titus 1:10-11 For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain.

False teaching and false doctrine have eternal consequences. Therefore, it must be stopped but who is to stop it? The Apostle Paul wrote much on this subject as did John.

The Church today is full of false teachers and false prophets. Paul addressed this very subject in his letter to Titus. For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. (Titus 1:10-11) In the middle of this statement, we find our answer as to how to respond. whose mouths must be stopped, Yes, we must stop them from teaching and preaching false doctrine.

If we merely ignore them or leave their presence, we save ourselves but show little concern for the others who are hearing the falsehoods. Paul also wrote about this to the Ephesians. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11) We must expose the teaching for what it is: false.

We must because if we don’t, many souls may be lost and spend eternity in Hell. I realize that the Holy Spirit will draw people to the Truth of the Gospel of Christ but unfortunately, there are many people in the world today seeking to hear that which feels good and sounds good rather than that which will bring them to repentance and true Salvation and Sanctification. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers and they will turn their ears away from the Truth, and be turned aside to fables. (1 Timothy 4:3-4)

Fables are false, made-up stories that are pleasing to the ear but are not the Truth of the Gospel which draws people to repentance. All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in Righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The work of all Ministers is to bring the Word of God to the people. This is what Jesus did and this is what we are to do today. The Word of God will bring correction and instruction to those who are listening. Paul called this false gospel another Jesus. They must be exposed and their mouths must be stopped due to our concern for others who are not mature enough to discern the truth.

In these Last Days, we must stand for nothing short of the True Gospel of Christ. It alone is the Power of God to draw people to repentance which will lead to their Salvation where they will find Sanctification, Healing, and Deliverance.

The True, simple Gospel of Christ will……..….turn the tide……..in this world.
