Eye Salve For Blindness

Revelation 3:18 and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

There is no better place than to be in the awesome Presence of God. This is where we find the Peace that is beyond our understanding or ability to describe. And the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

The only way to enter into the Presence of God is through faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. Jesus gave His Life so we can have Abundant Life. What could be better or more abundant than to be in the very Presence of God? I believe this is truly what Jesus meant by these words. I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

In order for God’s people to experience the Presence of God, we must trust in God’s Plan which, in a single word, is Jesus. The entire Bible is the story of Jesus because He is God’s Plan for the Redemption of mankind. We are all sinners and we all need a Savior. God sent His Son for that purpose. God loves us so much, He sacrificed His Only Son so we can be Redeemed. For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

All the money in the world cannot buy Salvation. God made a Way; a single Way. There is no other Way to God other than God’s Way. Jesus is that Way; the ONLY WAY! I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, but by Me. (John 14:6)

Once a person truly understands that God loves them and has made a Way for them, their spiritual eyes will be opened to the Truth. Until that time, they will remain spiritually blind and unable to see all that God has for them. This is why Jesus referred to the Laodiceans as blind. They had money and materials goods, but they were blind to the things of God. Because you say, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing.”—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked. (Revelation 3:17)

These people had it all in the natural but in the spiritual, they had nothing. They were wretched and miserable meaning they were without Peace and unable to experience the Presence of God. In addition, Jesus declared them to be poor, blind and naked. However, Jesus gave them the answer to their blindness.

He explained that He Himself was the eye salve that could enable them to see. All they had to do was believe that He suffered and died on the Cross of Calvary so they may be Redeemed in the Eyes of God. This is His Word for us today. All we have to do is BELIEVE in Him and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary. It was there, on Crucifixion Day, that He paid for our Redemption which includes EVERYTHING that the enemy has stolen from us and stricken us with.

One of the most important things God wants us to have is spiritual eyes to see. The ONLY Way to have spiritual eyes to see is through faith in Jesus. That’s why He said, I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. (Revelation 3:17)

Jesus is the eye salve that will open blinded eyes. He nailed spiritual blindness to the Cross. Trust in Him to open your eyes so that you may see the things of God and experience His awesome Presence.

This eye salve will….…….turn the tide………..in your life.

Thank you Lord for opening my eyes,         Doreen
