James 4:17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
We are all personally responsible for what we know and our own actions. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin. (James 4:17) While we may be able to hide things from people, we cannot hide anything from God. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. (Hebrews 4:13)
However, God grants the Gift of Repentance to His children. He wants us to confess our sins and turn from our wicked ways. He wants us to live Righteous lives and He sent His Son to die on the Cross of Calvary so we can!
We know right from wrong. We know when we sin. Once we repent of our sin (confess it and turn from it) God does not remember it any longer. That, my friends, is the Good News of the Gospel of Christ! Our problem is sin. The shed Blood of Jesus on the Cross is God’s remedy.
Salvation is admitting you are wrong and God is right. Salvation is understanding that you are a sinner and stand in desperate need of a Savior because you cannot save yourself. No amount of good works or good deeds will result in Salvation. God made a Way for all of us to be Saved. He sent Jesus to be our Savior. He is the only Way to Salvation and to the Father. I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me. (John 14:6)
We live in God’s world. We do not make the rules; He does. God cannot and will not tolerate sin. All sin results in death. The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) God requires a perfect blood sacrifice for sin. We are all sinners therefore, our blood is not acceptable to God for sin. We must accept and place our faith in Jesus’ Sacrifice on the Cross where He paid the price God required for sin. Jesus was perfect. His Blood was pure and acceptable to God for the Atonement of all sin. He did it! He paid it all for all of us; everyone, everywhere.
All we have to do is believe it and live in that faith every day, all day long. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) To abide is to continually live somewhere. It means to stay in that place and not move. As long as we abide in Jesus through our continual faith in His Finished Work on the Cross, we will bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God.
That is our purpose in life. We all have the same purpose and destination but God has created for each of us a different path. His path for each of us is narrow. The Holy Spirit will help you stay on the narrow path which leads to life everlasting. Hallelujah!
Abide in Christ and watch Him……….turn the tide……….in your life.
Through faith in Christ Crucified, I abide in Him. Doreen
