Jeremiah 14:14 And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My Name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart.

 

Sorcery and divination have made their way into the Church today in a huge way. Many people professing to be “prophets” hold meetings and speak lies to the people. They say they are hearing from God, but they are not.

 

These people are actually practicing witchcraft and divination in the Church. Jesus, Peter, and John all addressed the subject of false prophets in the New Testament and we would be wise to heed their warnings.

 

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (Matthew 7:15)

 

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Matthew 24:24)

 

But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. (2 Peter 2:1)

 

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)

 

My friends, this is one of the most common forms of witchcraft, sorcery, and divination in the Church today. Do not be sucked into those proclaiming to be prophets when they are no more than fortune tellers.

 

While these people may mean well, they are actually doing great harm to the Body of Christ. Practices such as these are what caused the Gifts of the Spirit to be dormant in the Church for decades. The Holy Spirit of God DOES perform Miracles. He DOES speak through people and He DOES send Messages to the Body of Christ through people.

 

However, He does not do this at precisely the same time every Sunday from the same person sitting in the same seat. This is NOT OF GOD and should not be allowed in the Church. This is a form of divination because it draws attention to the person speaking and does not bring glory to God.

 

We must test every spirit because many false prophets are ministering in the Church today. The Prophet Jeremiah wrote: And the Lord said to me, “The prophets prophesy lies in My Name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing, and the deceit of their heart. (Jeremiah 14:14)

 

Those who have ears, let them hear.

 

Only God can…...….turn the tide……….and He is about to do so.
