1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

 

Peter and John were called before the Sanhedrin and asked this question: by what power, or by what name, have you done this? (Acts 4:7) The next verse describes the Power they had within them. Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:

 

They were filled with the Holy Spirit and it was He Who had given them the Power to heal the man. It was also He Who was speaking through them now. Peter and John were being totally led by the Holy Spirit. This is what God has for every truly born-again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Churches today are filled with people professing to be Christians but they don’t even believe in the Holy Spirit. They say that all that Holy Spirit stuff was for the Apostles and when the last one died, all the Power of the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit died with them. That, my friends, is preposterous!

 

Nothing will be done without the Holy Spirit. There is no Power of God without Him. Any group that gathers together and denies the Holy Spirit is NOT A CHURCH! There is no church without the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit!

 

Jesus told them to go to the Temple and WAIT for the Promise of the Father. That Promise was (and is) the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, Occupy till I come. (Luke 19:13) That means we are to keep doing what He did until He returns for us. Everything Jesus did was by the Power of the Holy Spirit. He did nothing as a man. If Jesus, the Son of the Living God, needed the Holy Spirit, how much more must we need Him?

 

If you belong to a denomination that does not believe in the moving and operation of the Holy Spirit, I suggest you leave that organization because they are nothing more than modern-day Pharisees. These people seek to control those who follow them. Jesus said, Follow Me.

 

Let us follow Him and not those who seek to control us. He has given us the Holy Spirit of God to lead us every step of the way. Seek to be led by the Spirit of God and follow Jesus.
