For Such A Time As This

Esther 4:14 Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

The Prophecy of Joel (made in the year 800 B.C.) and repeated by Peter in his inaugural sermon on the Day of Pentecost, declares that both men and women will be Called and Gifted by God to further His Kingdom.

This Prophecy also speaks to the social and economic status of people God will use. In the 18th Verse of the 2nd Chapter of Acts we read: And on My servants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall Prophesy. In Greek, the word for servant is doulos. It means slave. The Greek word for maidservant is doule which means a female slave.

Slaves were the lowest on the social and economic scale. They owned nothing and were viewed as not much more than animals in society. But, as we see here, God uses everyone who believes in His Son. It doesn’t matter how much money you have, your position in life, your gender, or your race.

If you trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are one of His children. Therefore, you are either a servant or a maidservant of God and He is pouring out His Spirit on you because He wants to use you to further His Kingdom in these Last Days.

Before the foundations of the world, God had a Purpose for you. He had a Plan for your life. He knew exactly when you would be born and how many days you will live on this earth. He knows your name and the number of hairs on your head. He knows everything about you because He created you.

Jesus has placed upon you a Calling which is to be used for Ministry. In addition, the Holy Spirit has Gifted you with everything needed to fulfill God’s Plan and Purpose for you. When we come to the understanding that we are not our own but that we belong to God and are alive at this specific time in history for His Purpose, our entire outlook on life will change.

Like Queen Esther, we are all here for such a time as this. Step back away from yourself. Put your goals and desires aside. Disregard all your worldly hopes and dreams. All that is for nothing. Seek what God Almighty, the Creator of the universe, has for you. What did He create you to do? What has Jesus Called you to be? What Spiritual Gifts has the Holy Spirit imparted to you? None of this is by chance. Everything about you is 100% intentional.

Allow God to have His way with you. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) Because, you are here for such a time as this. Hallelujah!

Surrender your life to Him and He will……….turn the tide
