Freely Give

Acts 5:31 Him God has exalted to His Right Hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

The Apostles were standing strong against the Sanhedrin and speaking the Truth to them. The Lord had sent an Angel to open the prison doors and let them out. That Angel also spoke to the Apostles and told them to go right back into the Temple and speak the Truth of the Gospel of Christ to the people.

Their boldness to continue ministering to the people and the fact that the Lord had miraculously released them from prison caused the religious leaders to back down. Peter spoke the Truth to the Sanhedrin and reminded them that they were the ones who killed the Messiah. He also let them know that Jesus was alive, sitting at the Right Hand of the Father, and is now both Prince and Savior; the giver of repentance and forgiveness of sins.

Every Miracle Jesus performed He did willingly and for free. He never charged anyone for anything. He healed people from every disease and set folks free from demonic oppression and possession. He turned water into wine and fed thousands of people meals. He granted repentance to anyone who asked and He forgave them of their sins setting them free from condemnation, guilt, and shame. He did all this and more and He did it all for free. He is the GIVER of all time.

As followers of Christ, we too are to give to those in need of ministry whatever that may be. Whether it be spiritual, natural, or emotional, we are to freely give in the Mighty Name of Jesus just as He did when He walked this earth.

There are ministries today that sell tickets for people to come to hear the Gospel. This is a travesty. There are others that charge people money to be healed or delivered. This is an abomination! And then there are those who sell religious titles such as apostle and/or prophet. This is not of God and should be avoided at all costs.

Everything we receive from God is free of charge. Jesus gave the instructions as to how to minister. And as you go, preach, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:7-8)

My friends, beware of those professing to be ministers of the Gospel but charge you money to hear it. Stay away from those who want to sell you something God wants to freely give you. Although the ministry should be operated according to the law of the land, it is not a business. Nor is it a place of employment.

We are all called to be servants. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. (Galatians 5:13) Let us surrender to what God has for us to do and take our eyes of making a profit. God will provide for His Ministry. All we have to do is trust Him. He is Who He says He is and He will do what He says He will do. Believe it!

Faith will…...….turn the tide……….in every aspect of your life.

Trusting Him for everything,         Doreen
