Fulfillment Of Prophecy
February 10, 2022, 3:00 AM

Acts 1:16-17 Men and brethren, this Scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, which was guide to them who took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

Peter had stepped into the position of leader of the First Century Church. As we discussed yesterday, he was a natural for this position. They were in Jerusalem in the Upper Room where they spent ten days waiting for the Promise of the Father.

The Bible tells us that they were in one accord (in total agreement with each other) and spent their time studying the Scriptures and in prayer. In those days they only had the Scrolls to study and held fast to the Words spoken by the Prophets because this is the way God spoke to people then. While searching the Scriptures for Prophecy regarding the time in which they were now living, they came upon the Prophecy given of David about Judas.

They really did not know how to proceed so they did what they knew to do: Study and search the Word of God and pray. That’s all they knew and that’s exactly what they did for ten days. The other thing that must be considered is the fact that their lives were in danger by the Jewish hierarchy so, in a way, they were hiding out in the Upper Room waiting on a Word and direction from the Lord.

Just imagine what the Church today could accomplish if it operated in this manner. While we do have Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings, they have a distant resemblance to what happened in the Upper Room during that time.

The Word of God is meant to be our Standard for living. It is to be the Constitution and By-Laws for the Church. We are to live each day in accordance with its Teachings and look forward to that Day when Jesus will Call us home or Rapture us.

As we study the Prophecies of the Bible we find that all the Prophecies have come to pass up to the Rapture of the Church. This is the next event to happen and my friends, it can’t be too far off. It could happen at any time. It could be today! Are you ready to go? Is your name written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life? Have you been Saved and Born-again by the shed Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary?

The Bible is true. Every Word has been inspired by the Holy Spirit of God. (2 Timothy 3:16) There are few things in this world we can believe but the Holy Bible is one such Instrument. Everything has either already happened or will happen at some point in the future. On this, you can depend and place your full belief and trust. If the Bible says it, you can believe it. For this, I am eternally grateful.

God is about to….….turn the tide

So grateful for the Word of God,         Doreen
