Fullness Of Joy
April 8, 2022, 3:00 AM

Acts 2:28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You shall make me full of joy with your countenance.

In the inaugural Message preached by Peter on the Day of Pentecost, he quoted the Prophets Joel and David. As we discussed yesterday, the Prophetic words of David spoke that day are found in what we now know as Psalm 16. They address the importance of totally surrendering our lives to Christ and committing everything we are and all that we have to Him and the Kingdom of God.

The Life of Jesus is our example to follow. He was the Representative Man. While we will never reach perfection in this life, we will one day receive our Glorified Bodies and be made perfect as Christ was perfect.

The Prophecy of David found in Psalm 16 speaks to all this and it pertains to David himself, Jesus and all of us. That is what makes the Word of God so remarkable and awesome! The entire Book is the story of Jesus Christ and it is our story as well.

If you are a born-again believer in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, the Word of God is your story. If you haven’t already, at some point in your life you will be able to relate to all the trials, temptations, struggles, burdens, pain, suffering, and storms of life written about in the Word of God. The answer to every human situation, problem, and circumstance can be found in the Bible.

That’s what David meant when he said, You will show me the path of life; in Your Presence is fullness of joy; (Psalm 16:11) Luke recorded Peter saying it like this: You have made known to me the ways of life; You shall make me full of joy with your countenance. (Acts 2:28)

This is what God wants for each of us. He wants us to look to Him for our path in life. He wants us to spend time in His Presence where we will find Joy and Peace. As born-again believers under the New Covenant, we can have this ALL THE TIME! We can continually dwell in the Presence of God because the Holy Spirit continually dwells within us.

The Life of Jesus is our example to follow. The Holy Spirit dwells within us to continually remind us of what Jesus said and did. He will always lead us back to the Representative Man; Christ Jesus. In His Presence, we find the fullness of joy.

In His Presence He will….….turn the tide ……….in your life.

In His Presence, I find fullness of Joy!         Doreen
