1 John 4:4 Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
In the universe, there are two spiritual kingdoms: The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Darkness. Both have leaders and armies of spiritual beings that operate within the spiritual realm and fight to defend and enhance their kingdom.
The Kingdom of God is led by the Godhead: God Almighty, King Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. All the Holy Angels and Righteous Spirits are in God’s Righteous Army and continually fight to build and strengthen their Kingdom. We don’t know how many Angelic troops are included in this number, but theologians believe it to be multiple trillions.
The Kingdom of Darkness is led by Satan. All the fallen angels, evil spirits, and demons make up his army. Again, we don’t know how many of them there are, but we do know that only one-third of the Angels left their heavenly estate and joined Satan when he was banished from Heaven by God.
This would indicate that two-thirds of the Angels remained with God and are still operating today as Holy Messengers and Guardians over God’s people. In addition, we read in the Word of God that Satan is by no means equal to God in any way. He is a created being just like all other beings and he answers to God.
While we are to be aware of our enemy, keep watch for him, and not be ignorant of his devices, we must never consider him or his minions to be greater or more powerful in our lives than God. NEVER! He is like a bug under our feet compared to God Almighty, King Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Archangels, Guardian Angels, and all the other Righteous Angels that make up the Celestial Army of God.
Every born-again believer in Christ has God’s entire Spiritual Army fighting for them every day! They never sleep. They are never off duty. They never falter in any way. God promises over and over again to never leave us nor forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5) God is NEVER going to stop fighting for us or stop sending His Angels to protect us and guard us against the attack of the enemy.
Is the enemy out there? Yes, but he is nothing more than a little bug under our feet! It’s up to us to know and believe in the greater Power and to put Satan in his place which is UNDER OUR FEET! A dear friend of mine preached a sermon on this a few months back and he said, “If the enemy is anywhere out from under the soles of your feet, he is trespassing. Put him back where he belongs.”
Please understand that YOU have the Power and Authority over Satan, fallen angels, demons, and evil spirits; all of them! Jesus gave you this Power. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Luke 10:19)
Your understanding of the Power you possess will……….turn the tide……..in your life.
Get under my feet, Satan, and stay there! Doreen
