Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for My Sake shall find it.
The Word of God distinctly instructs us to come apart and be separate from the world and all its evil. For the past few days, we have been discussing this subject because many Christians today have failed to understand this and they are skating on very thin ice.
My friends, God means what He says and He says what He means. He will not back down on any position He takes. Every Promise made in His Word is true and He will stand by them all. However, every Promise of God comes with conditions and responsibilities. God wants to Bless us but to receive those Blessings we must be obedient and meet the conditions set forth in His Word.
If we expect God to Bless our family, then our family must be in Order according to the Word of God. We cannot live in sin and expect God to Bless us. Nor can we gamble all our money away or spend it on the things of this world and expect God to give us more!
Jesus declared Himself to be the Way to the Father. The early Church was named The Way because the Gospel of Christ was the only Way to be Saved. Nothing has changed! Jesus and Him Crucified is still the ONLY Way to be Saved. There is no other way.
Living our lives pleasing to God is the goal. The only way to do this is to come apart from the world and be separate. This pertains to every aspect of our lives. We must lay our lives down on the Altar and turn from everything that is of the world.
If you want it all, you have to FIRST give your all. Give and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38) God said you can have it all but He also said you have to give it all to receive it. In short, living for Christ will cost us everything. We can’t have it both ways. How much of your life are you willing to lose? What things of this world are you willing to walk away from? What people in your life are you willing to separate from? What activities are you willing to stop doing? What movies and television shows are you willing to stop watching? What books and magazines are you willing to stop reading? What internet sites are you willing to stop visiting?
Jesus said If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for My Sake shall find it. (Luke 9:23-24) Verse 23 is often quoted by believers but very rarely do we hear Verse 24 because we don’t want to willingly lose our lives for the sake of Christ. However, this is what is required IF we want all that God has prepared for us.
Lay it all down and watch God……..….turn the tide……….in your world.
