Ezekiel 3:18 When I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
God calls us all to be watchmen. He has entrusted certain people (or groups of people) to us to watch over. It is our responsibility to teach these people the Truth of the Word of God. God gives us assignments that will lead others into all Truth. This is our Divine Purpose in life.
The Apostle Paul was given a huge assignment by God. To him was revealed the Mystery of the Gospel of Christ and his assignment was to deliver that Message to the Jews and the Gentiles. Never before had the Gentiles been included. It was not until Jesus went to the Cross of Calvary and died for the sins of the whole world, that the Gentiles could receive Salvation and it was Paul’s responsibility to tell them.
We all have a Divine Assignment. It may not be as big as Paul’s assignment, but it is an assignment and we are to see it through to completion. When we act in obedience to what God has called us to do, God will come alongside us in the form of the Holy Spirit to help. He is our Helper. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)
Paul understood the gravity of his assignment. The Holy Spirit caused him to remember the Lord’s Words spoken to Ezekiel. Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a Word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: When I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from this wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul. (Ezekiel 3:17-19)
The Apostle Paul wrote Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. (Acts 20:26) Paul had answered God’s Call on his life. He preached the Message of the Cross of Christ everywhere he went. He did the best he could to complete the assignment he had been given.
We have all been called to be watchmen. We must tell the world about Jesus and His soon Coming. If we don’t, their blood will be on our hands. We don’t want to see anyone die lost and spend eternity in Hell. Jesus died for all people. Who will we tell today?
The Message of the Cross will……….turn the tide……….in this world.
Go tell! Doreen
