Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

The Book of Acts explains and describes the Doctrine of the New Covenant through the actions of those involved at that time. The Holy Spirit inspired Paul and Peter to write down (or journal) the happenings in the Church. These writings went on to become the Book of Acts; the Acts of the Apostles.

What we read of in the Book of Acts, actually happened. The accounts are not made up stories and tales. They are actual accounts of the Supernatural Power of God through the Holy Spirit in the lives of the people who were blessed to live during that time.

Many people today do not believe God still performs Miracles. They believe that when the last of the Apostles died, God stopped doing supernatural things for people. Why would God stop? Did He love those people more than He loves us? This mindset always leads me to this question: Why would God give us the Holy Spirit, Spiritual Gifts, and Call us into Ministry if He didn’t want to perform Supernatural Miracles in our lives? It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Therefore, I choose to believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Everything He did 2,000 years ago, He is still able to do today, and He does! Unfortunately, most “churches” today are not anywhere near what God intends for His Church. The people who attend such places are not looking to draw closer to God and witness Miracles. They are seeking a social club where they can gather with their friends every week and show off their new clothes and cars. Many attend church to network their business. All this is a travesty, in my opinion, and I want no part of any of it.

I believe God changes people. I believe in the Delivering Power of the Holy Spirit to bring about real change in all of us. This was the earthly Ministry of Jesus and this is STILL the Ministry of the Holy Spirit for anyone who desires to know Him and will allow Him to touch their heart and soul.

God loves you. He wants the very best for you. He wants to change you and deliver you from anything and everything that is not 100% in line with His Word. When we give our lives to Him (through faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross) this process begins. It continues every day IF we want it to. God will not force us to do anything. Jesus said, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33) Jesus’ half-brother, James, said, Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. (James 4:8)

Many people don’t believe we have to do anything, but they are wrong. We must really want God to change us and we must believe He can do it.

Believe in Him and He WILL……….turn the tide……..in your life.

I believe, Doreen
