Hebrews 4:12 For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow.
Yesterday I saw a comment on facebook that read, “I don’t care what the Bible says, I live by the law of the land.” This is an incredibly sad statement, but the really sad part is that this person claims to be a Christian.
When I read it, I hardly could believe my eyes. There are some facts that are simply not refutable and it begins with the fact that God is sovereign. He created the heavens and the earth and every living thing. He also wrote the Bible for all people on earth. It is HIS WORD; His letter to us. The Word of God is exactly that: the Word of God.
All the laws, constitutions, by-laws, and any other document written by man are of no consequence to us. We MUST adhere to the Word of God, which leads us to the all-important question: How can one live by the Word of God if they have never read it for themselves? Answer: You cannot.
There is nothing more necessary or more helpful to every person on earth, than the Word of God. God draws people to Himself and to His Word. They are One and cannot be separated. You cannot say you believe in God and love Jesus, but don’t care anything about reading the Bible.
People spend hours and hours reading and studying books and all sorts of things, but never take the Bible off the shelf. There it sits, collecting dust. What a shame.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. To seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness is to seek understanding of His Word. While God speaks to us in various ways, the greatest way is through His Word. You have it in your home. It is easily accessible on the internet. You can download it on your phone. There is no excuse.
Our lives, homes, schools, communities, cities, and whole country is in the condition it's in because the Word of God has been closed. This must make God incredibly sad. Man is God’s greatest creation. His Word is the Greatest Book ever written. Nothing is more important than God and His Word and most have rejected Him completely. He created a place for people like this and it’s called Hell. It’s a real place my friends and never let anyone tell you otherwise.
To love God is to love all of Him. God the Father, His Son, His Holy Spirit, and His Word. It's not too late. Start reading. It will change your life.
