God Loves You

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled (deceived) Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Temptation, deception, and accusation. These are three of the fiery darts of the enemy toward God’s people. He tempts us with the glamour of sin, lies to us, and then wrongly accuses us. This is what he did to Eve in the Garden of Eden and this is exactly what he is still doing to believers every day.

Not only does our enemy plant tempting and accusing thoughts of deception in our heads, but he also uses other people to do the same. Just as he used Eve to deceive Adam, he uses people to deceive us. He does it every day and unfortunately, many Christians believe his lies and accusations and fall into temptation. That’s why there are so many guilt-ridden, miserable believers sitting in church every week. They have been duped by the enemy and they don’t even know it.

One of Satan’s biggest lies is when he tells people that God does not love them. GOD IS LOVE. HE LOVES YOU! No matter what you have done, God loves you. Although He does not approve of or condone sin in any way, He still loves you. He wants you to know and understand that He sent His Son to die on the Cross of Calvary for your sins. Jesus went there to set you free from sin…….all sin.

Jesus shed His Blood on the Cross so you can be forgiven of your sin and set free from it. That means Delivered from it so you will stop doing it. Yes, this is possible! You can be set free from sin! If that were not so, why did Jesus go to the Cross? Satan is a liar. Stop believing him!

The second most used lie by Satan is that sin doesn’t matter. Just as God loves you, God hates sin, and sin matters to God. Again, if sin didn’t matter, why did Jesus have to go to the Cross? Sin matters and God hates it all. God loves us so much He sent His ONLY Son to die on the Cross so we can be set free from sin.

He did not send Jesus to the Cross so we can continue to live in sin. This is a lie of the Devil. Jesus went to the Cross so we can be SET FREE FROM SIN! Our Salvation consists of Justification and Sanctification. Justification is the Freedom of the PENALTY of our sin. Sanctification is the Freedom of the POWER of sin in our lives.

This is why Jesus went to the Cross! He suffered and died there so we can be BOTH Justified and Sanctified. And, He did it all out of His Great Love for us. For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have Everlasting Life. (John 3:16) When Jesus spoke these Words, He was telling the world of the Love of His Father for them all.

God loves you. Never let Satan tell you otherwise. God wants you to be forgiven (Justified) and set free from the power of sin in your life (Sanctified.) That’s WHY Jesus went to the Cross and He did it all for YOU!

Believe it and God will……….turn the tide…...in your life.

Jesus loves me, this I know!         Doreen
