God's Grace
July 7, 2023, 3:00 AM

John 1:17 For the Law was given through Moses, but Grace and Truth came through Jesus Christ.

Grace is God’s Gift to mankind. The Greek word for Grace is charis which means divine favor granted without works or merit. The Apostle Paul wrote And if by Grace, is it no more of works: otherwise Grace is no more Grace. (Romans 11:24)

God loves to do things for His children. Everything He does for us is Grace in operation. Although God did grant Grace in Old Testament times, it was Jesus Christ who opened the door wide for Grace to be poured out on people. He did this by willingly going to the Cross and shedding His Perfect Blood.

While Old Testament believers took animals to the Temple to be sacrificed for sin, it was only the Blood of Jesus that would ultimately satisfy the sin debt of mankind. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. (Hebrews 10:4) The debt for all sin was paid by Jesus on the Cross. That’s where and when it happened! That day; Crucifixion Day when Christ said, It is finished. (John 19:30)

Millions of animals had been sacrificed prior but Jesus was the final Sacrificial Lamb! This is why John the Baptist introduced Him in this manner: Behold the Lamb of God Who takes away the sins of the world. (John 1:29) When a person comes to God in repentance with their faith firmly planted in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, they instantly have access to the Throne Room of God and are Saved; Redeemed; Justified, and set free from the bondage of sin in their life.

It doesn’t matter who the person is or what they have done. There is no sin that the Blood of Jesus did not pay the price for. It is the Cross of Christ that paid the price for it all and when we place our faith in what Jesus accomplished for us, the Grace of God is released upon us.

In Old Testament times, the people believed in the shed blood of the sacrificial lambs and other animals. They believed the slain lambs covered their sins and kept them in good standing with God, and it did BUT only the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ could TAKE AWAY SIN.

We cannot separate the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross from the Grace of God. The Finished Work of Christ on the Cross released the Grace of God on all (whosoever) will choose to believe. Faith in Christ Crucified is the ONLY way to the Father and His Grace.

Faith in Christ Crucified will…..…….turn the tide………..in your life.

Thank you Jesus!         Doreen
