Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God wells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

 

Over the past few days, we have Biblically established the fact that Christ is the Head of the Church just as He is to be the Head of every born-again believer. Without faith in Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross, we are spiritually dead and lost in sin.

 

When we hear the Gospel Message, the Holy Spirit convicts our hearts of our sinful condition and draws us to the Father. If and when we surrender our life to Christ, we are instantly Saved, Redeemed, and born again. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the Name of the only Begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

 

At that point, the Holy Spirit then takes up residence in our hearts and immediately begins to bring change to our life. Do you not know that you are the Temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16) The Holy Spirit dwells in us as a result of our faith in Christ and what He accomplished on the Cross. Without faith in Christ Crucified, we do not have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling in us and bringing about change in our lives.

 

The Holy Spirit is the Work Force of the Godhead. Jesus did all that was required by God the Father for us to be Saved. He did the Work on the Cross so the Holy Spirit can do the Work inside us. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (John 14:26)

 

Every truly Saved, born-again believer in Christ has the Holy Spirit working inside them and making changes in their lives. However, the Holy Spirit is not at work inside a non-believer. He draws the non-believer to faith in Christ from the outside.

 

It is not until the person believes in Christ and accepts Him as their Savior and Lord that the Holy Spirit moves inside that person and begins to then work from the inside. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God wells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. (Romans 8:9)

 

If you are truly saved, the Holy Spirit will……..….turn the tide……….in your life!
