God's Pattern

Matthew 7:14 because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to Life, and there are few who find it.

The 24th Chapter of Matthew and the 21st Chapter of Luke tell of the Words Jesus spoke about what would soon come upon Israel. Revealed in His Words we find the pattern of God concerning His people. This pattern has been repeated time and time again since the beginning.

God ALWAYS gives His people a way out. He always makes a way for His people to be saved from destruction. God does not change. His Ways are perfect and unchangeable. God’s Pattern for Redemption is consistent and we find it repeated over and over again throughout all of history.

Looking all the way back to the days of Noah we find this same pattern. The problem is, that few people are willing to follow God’s Way. As Jesus said, Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it, because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to Life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:14)

In the days of Noah, the world was a horrible place. The people were involved and entrenched in every kind of evil activity imaginable. Worldwide destruction was inevitable, but God made a way for them to be saved from what was to come. He called upon His servant Noah to build an ark. He gave Noah 120 years to build it and tell the people of what was to come. Other than Noah’s immediate family, zero people heeded the warning. They were all killed in the flood. Noah told them what was coming but they did not believe him.

The same thing has happened many times since the days of Noah. The church is currently in a horrible spiritual condition again. Jesus told us what is soon to come. He has made a Way for all to be saved from sure death. How many have heard and heeded the warning? Unfortunately, not many.

The Church is apostatized to the point of it hardly being recognizable. Jesus told us this would happen and it has. We don’t know how many more days or years God will give us to repent and turn back to Him. Why wait? Why take a chance on losing everything when you can have it all?

There was enough room in the ark for many people. None believed and none came. Therefore, none were saved from the destruction. Jesus told us that the Gate to Life is narrow and the road is difficult. He also said that few will find it. Actually, few are willing to give up their life to find Life. What a pity!

Our lives here on earth are but a vapor; a blip on the timeline of history. Eternity is forever. Heaven is real. Hell is real. We will all spend eternity in one place or the other. God has shown us His Pattern for the Redemption of people. He is giving us time to say yes to Him, turn from our wicked ways, and take the narrow road to Eternal Life with Him in Heaven. Don’t wait another day.

God could……….turn the tide……….today.
