2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray, seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.
This Scripture has been the focal Passage for the Morning Message and countless sermons. This Passage is known as “God’s prescription for spiritual sickness.”
Suffice it to say, America is spiritually sick; very, very sick. As a nation, we have turned our back on God and His Word. As a nation, we are bowing down to other gods and listening to false teachings. We have been slack to guard our gates against the enemy. We have been attacked on every level and most of us have not seen it coming, or have totally ignored it.
The Bible tells us that a little leaven, leavens the whole lump. There is far more than just a little leaven in this lump we call the Church in America. What used to be the strongest force in our country has become weakened by the leaven and we have watched this nation turn from God and the teachings of His Holy Word.
God has given us the prescription for spiritual sickness, but who among us is listening? Who cares? Sad to say, the preachers of the largest churches in America don’t even care. They care about money, power, and building bigger buildings. We are so spoiled and selfish, we care only about ourselves. As long as we have a credit card in our pocket, a roof over our heads, closets full of clothes, food in the refrigerator, cars in the garage, the newest cell phone, cable television, and internet service, we could care less about what is happening.
The time is coming when we will be forced to start caring. Many Americans are going to wake up to no money in the bank, no roof over their head, only the clothes on their backs, little food, and no car in the garage and wonder…… “What happened?”
My friends it could be a lot worse than this. We could see our friends tortured and beheaded in our streets. We could wake up to churches burned to the ground. We could be forced to watch as our children are maimed and raped before our eyes. I pray you understand the evil faction that is alive and well in this country.
It’s time to accept the diagnosis of the condition our nation is in. We are sick; really sick. We can no longer ignore the problem. As we sleep, it is growing like a cancer in every state of the union.
The Body of Christ must unite together and agree to take the Prescription set forth by the Great Physician. Our liberty is at stake. We cannot wait another fifty years, or even one more year. We must come together and we must change our ways. It’s not about putting a bumper sticker on your car or a sign in your front yard.
It’s about being obedient to God; humbling ourselves, praying, seeking His Face, and turning from our wicked ways. It’s about reading the Bible and living our lives according to its teachings. It’s about preachers preaching the whole Truth of the Bible no matter who leaves or stops putting their money in the plate. It’s about the people in the pews encouraging their pastor to preach the Truth and standing with them. It is the Truth that sets people free! It's not a watered-down version of the Word; not a pat on the head message encouraging people to keep on living the way they are; not a message that says all religions pray to the same God and they all lead to Heaven so it doesn't matter what you believe or who you call God.
God’s Word has not changed! God does not change! The Truth is the Truth and it must be preached if we the people expect to take America back.
Please, people! I implore you to WAKE UP! Take God’s prescription for spiritual sickness. Seek Him first in your life. Get right with God. Get your household in order. Change your way of operating your business. Clean up your language and your social life. Turn off that junk on your television and computer. Rededicate your life to Christ and the principles in God’s Holy Word.
PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! Pray for your family. Pray for your pastor. Pray for the lost to be saved. Pray for your schools. Pray for our government at all levels. Pray for this nation. PRAY! God hears your prayers. He answers prayers especially those made in agreement according to His Will. This prescription is His Will for His people. That’s us. We must take the medicine if we want to see our land healed. God can do it. He is waiting for His people; us. If my people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray, seek My Face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.
