God's Promises
November 24, 2022, 3:00 AM

John 6:47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

God is a good, good Father. He wants the very best for all His children. We can have His Holy Spirit dwelling inside us to Teach us, Counsel us, and Guide our every step. He will remind us of everything Jesus said. He will speak for us when we don’t know what to say. He will protect us and provide for us in our times of need. The Holy Spirit is the Power Source of the God Head and He lives inside us! What wonderful reasons to be thankful on this Thanksgiving Day!

We have access to all this because of our faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. It was there that Jesus defeated all power of the enemy over us. If Jesus hadn’t gone to the Cross, we would not have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside us. For a greater understanding of this, go back and read the Morning Message from yesterday, November 23, 2022.

One of the last things Jesus told His followers was that He would be leaving to be with His Father, but He would send them a better Promise. This Promise was the Holy Spirit. They had the unique opportunity to actually be with Jesus, listen to Him teach, and watch Him Minister to people. However, if for any reason, they didn’t go with Him on a particular day, they would not hear Him teach or watch Him Minister.

We, on the other hand, have the Holy Spirit of God with us all the time. He dwells inside us! He lives with us! And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (John 14:16-17)

Jesus in the flesh was the Promise given through the Prophets of Old. Every TRUE Word of God spoken through a true Prophet of God, is a Promise and it will be fulfilled. The Words of the Prophets found in the Old Testament are True Words of God spoken through these people. Every Prophesy either has already or will come to pass at some point in time. By which He has granted to us His Precious and very great Promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. (1 Peter 1:4)

The Holy Spirit is the better Promise given to us by our faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ, God’s original Promise to mankind. All the Promises of God are for everyone, but as in all things, God has order. We must do things in order and then we will receive things in order; God’s Order.

No one can have the Holy Spirit if they don’t have faith in the Finished Work of Christ on the Cross. First things first. Faith in Jesus Christ is first. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. (John 6:47)

Faith in Christ Crucified is the only thing that will……..….turn the tide……..in your life.

Thank you Lord for Your Promises.         Doreen
