Great Tribulation

Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

The church in Philadelphia is known as the Faithful Church. They were not big in number but they were strong in their faith and did not waver. Because of their perseverance, Jesus made them a tremendous Promise. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Revelation 3:10)

Jesus’ command to all His followers is to persevere in their faith and not waver. This is all God asks of us and if we keep His command and remain faithful until the end, this Promise is for us as well.

Some people believe true, born-again Christians will have to suffer through the Great Tribulation. In my opinion, this Promise of God found in Revelation 3:10 proves their thinking to be wrong. Jesus clearly states that those who live in faith in His Finished Work on the Cross will be kept from the Great Tribulation which will come upon the whole world.

Jesus is coming back for His Bride, the Church. Those who have kept His command to persevere in their faith, will be taken up in the Rapture of the Church. They will not have to suffer through the horrible time of the Great Tribulation which the Bible says will be the worst time in all of human history. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:21)

Most theologians believe the Great Tribulation to be the last half of the seven year Tribulation period. There are three different schools of thought on this subject and no one really knows for sure but, we do know that God’s Pattern has always been to give the faithful ones a way out. I don’t believe God will change the way He has done things for thousands of years. He has always made a way for His believers to escape His wrath and I believe He will continue to do so.

One thing is for sure, we know that God will always reward faithfulness. Therefore, I claim this Promise of God! Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Revelation 3:10)

Hold fast to your faith in Jesus Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross of Calvary. Do not waver in your faith and this Promise of God will be yours. Hallelujah!

Hold on! God will soon……..….turn the tide
