Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Everything Jesus did on Earth was for our benefit and on our behalf. He did it all out of His great love for mankind. He left His place in Heaven and took on the human form on Earth and lived a perfect life as an example for us. He was and continues to be the Representative Man. He did it for us.
Jesus was mocked, spit upon, whipped, and beaten. He willingly went to the Cross of Calvary so we might be saved from our sin and not have to spend eternity in Hell. His Sacrifice there was the Perfect Blood God required for the redemption of the sins of the world. He did it for us.
His Resurrection from the grave showed God’s Power over sin and death. Jesus told us He would be raised on the Third Day, and He was. He ALWAYS keeps His Promises and EVERY Prophecy in the Bible either has or will, come to pass. Why? Because God said so! His Resurrection proves He is the Son of God. He did it for us.
Jesus is alive today and He sits at the Right Hand Throne of the Father ever making intercession for us according to the Will of God. The Greek word for intercession is entugchano. It means “to plead on behalf of someone; to give self wholly to. He is still working on our behalf today. He did it for us.
Everything about Jesus (His Birth, Life, Death, Burial, Resurrection, and Intercessory Role) is on our behalf. Jesus became one with us in our sin when He died on the Cross. He is still one with us as we are Sanctified by the Holy Spirit. He Intercedes to the Father on our behalf even when we fail. He did it for us.
One wise man wrote: Were it not for the Intercessory Work of Christ on our behalf, we wouldn’t last out a day, not even an hour. He did it for us and He continues to do it for us.
Thank you just doesn’t seem adequate. Let us live our lives in constant and continuous gratitude because, He did it for us.
Living for Jesus will……….turn the tide
So grateful every day, Doreen
